Welcoming the UN Resolution on Business and Human Rights
On 17th June, John Ruggie, UN Special Representative on Business and Human Rights will report to the UN on his findings and present his Guiding Principles on business and human rights.
On 20th June, the APPG will host a member of the Ruggie Team at the Houses of Parliament to discuss how the UK Government can put his principles into action. What steps can Whitehall take to help business protect and respect human rights and what can government do to help remedy human rights abuses that have already occurred?
The event will comprise a drinks reception with key figures from business, the NGO sector and Parliamentarians.
